PARADISE ULTD: TOP 10 SONGS OF 2015

While we are beginning to close the door that was 2015 and cross the threshold into the New Year- we thought we would bring on the nostalgia. 2015 was mammoth year for House Music. Tropical beats could be heard on almost every radio station around the world, future house started popping up in everyone’s soundcloud newsfeed and we all learned that Drake doesn’t know how to dance.  Check out our guide to the top tracks of 2015.

Eric Prydz – Opus (Fourtet Remix)

One of the later tracks from this year, this is definitely a standout with its winding melodies and a breakdown that will make your heart melt. Its inclusion to this list is a no brainer.

Tobtok – Shelter ft Alex Mills

A stellar original track from the man who has tropified the likes of the Magician, Icona Pop & Blonde. The flickering pan pipes along with Alex Mills’ vocals make this one of 2015’s hot hot summer tracks.

Odesza – Bloom (Lane 8 remix)

2015 saw the rise of the tropical house fusion with glitchy Nudisco vibes. This Lane 8 remix places it beautifully in that category while keeping true to Odesza’s nudisco sound.

Me & My Toothbrush – One Thing (Nora En Pure Remix)

This year Nora En Pure stepped up as a big contender in the electronic music scene. Releasing remix after remix along with her hectic world tour schedule have proven that she may just be the hardest working lady in the electronic music biz. I’m all for more electronic ladies carving out a slice in the industry, bring it on ladies!

Kungs & Mozambo – To describe you Ft Molly

Master of the chilled side of tropical house Mozambo, teamed up with Kungs this year to give everyone on their summer break, something to kick their feet up and sit back to. Pinapples filled with pina colada ahoy!

Nero – Two Minds

2015 was the year that begun my likeness for Nero. Before Between II Worlds, Nero were EDM, bass & big drop heavy, but Two Minds proves that those three elements can be brought deeper while still holding onto that dark edge that has made Nero what they are today.

Jamie XX – I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times)

This list could be complete without mentioning the mammoth that was Jamie XX’s In Colour. Hitting early in 2015, this track continues to pump up all sorts of fans from electronic lovers to hip hop heads. Keep on crushing it Jamie.

Hardsoul & Dirty Freek – Just Another Face Ft MO

The uplifting ‘You got this’ vibe that I get from this track has kept it in my daily playlist. Chuck it on when you need that extra bit of motivation like I did about 3000 times throughout this year.

Autograf – Dream

2015 was the year that Autograf gave us original music! I’m still waiting for more, but I’ll take Dream for now.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis – Downtown

Who says you can’t enjoy pop music? Downtown is one of the few tracks that hasn’t left my daily playlist, why? Because it mixes the current pop sound from guys like Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars, but also pokes fun at Mack’s back catalogue. Love it or hate it, it’s definitely a top track for 2015.
