We’re excited to introduce the debut original by Yokobus, a brand new project from Sydney-based DJ/producer Jacopo Lancioni.
“The Music” is a suave little number characterized by hushed whispers floating atop infectious house grooves. The clean, minimal production style is a subtle step in a fresh direction for the Italian-born artist, whose former moniker Surfdisco favored the bassier side of the tech house spectrum.
Lancioni cultivated a following in Rome in the early ’10s before breaking onto the international dance music circuit, performing at festivals in Croatia, Fiji and Australia. His success Down Under subsequently led to full time residency, hooking up with local streetwear icons ZANEROBE who recently commissioned Yokobus to produce their official mixtape for acclaimed house and techno festival Electric Gardens‘ 2017 national tour.
